Rhonda LaPoint, LCPC
There is a time in everyone’s life when we need some support from our community, friends, family and professional services. I am Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who has practiced in both community and clinical settings for over 10 years. It is important to me to provide a safe, comfortable and respectful environment where you can come and explore your concerns and struggles as well as your hopes for the future.
I work with a variety of client’s including adults, adolescents and families. My approach is client focused, strength based and collaborative using a variety of clinical interventions that can support each person to heal and grow.
My experience includes working with clients who have experienced trauma, significant loss or are going through phase of life challenges. Other specialties include adult ADHD, anxiety, depression, women’s issues, relationship issues, anger management and other mood disorders. I also have worked with teachers and school staff, training them in effectively supporting children and adolescents with ADHD and other impulsive behavior issues.
I also train clinicians to effectively intervene and assess crisis situations. It is important to me to participate in a variety of experiential programs that promote person and interpersonal understanding. This includes (3) long term Women’s Leadership Collaboratives at Hope Springs (Peebles Ohio) as well as facilitating Women’s Circles for over 10 years.
