The Estuary Center community has been horrified and deeply disturbed by ongoing racialized violence and death, particularly against people in Black, Brown, Asian, Refugee and LGBTQ+ communities in our country.
When individuals and communities are marginalized, objectified and targeted because of race, citizenship status, gender or sexual orientation it creates a pervasive trauma and wounding which is often invisible, unrecognized and not spoken about with others. We acknowledge and speak out loud the truth of its ongoing reality.
We are committed to provide an environment that is safe, free of judgement, and where deep healing can take place. We honor the beautiful diversity of color, creed, forms of worship, culture, gender identity and sexuality here. We see you. We hear you.
And, we welcome you.
