Alexandra Colaianni, MS, MSW, LCSW is the Founder of Modern Balance Integrative Therapy in Naperville, Illinois. As an integrative outpatient mental health group, Modern Balance offers support to adults and their families coping with chronic health issues. They provide wellness consultations, holistic talk therapy, and mindfulness sessions aimed at aiding the transition from being a patient to an individual striving to find their modern balance and achieve their personal life goals.

 

Alexandra's professional mission is to assist those with chronic health conditions from an integrative standpoint, enabling everyone to enhance their unique quality of life while managing health-related challenges. She was first diagnosed with a chronic illness in 2004 and then another in 2014, which led her to embark on her own healing journey and develop an integrative wellness approach over time.

 

Alexandra is a licensed clinical social worker who earned her Masters of Social Work at Loyola University Chicago specializing in Healthcare. She has served Chicagoland health systems as a medical social worker, care manager, clinical therapist, community outreach coordinator, and clinical consultant for behavioral health integration. In 2023, she was nominated and selected as Who’s Who in America with special recognition for her contributions to healthcare.

 

Prior to becoming a social worker, Alexandra served as a youth and children’s ministry director. During this time, she also earned a Masters of Counseling with an emphasis on Spirituality. Alexandra writes, presents, and trains organizations how to integrate inclusive wellness into their daily practices. In her free time- she enjoys traveling, cooking, finding adventure in the ordinary, practicing mindfulness, volunteering for her community, and raising her young family.
