Meditation is a practice of concentrated focus upon a sound, object, visualization, the breath, movement, or attention itself in order to increase awareness of the present moment, reduce stress, promote relaxation, and enhance personal and spiritual growth.


Mindfulness meditation is a meditation technique in which distracting thoughts and feelings are not ignored but are rather acknowledged and observed non judgmentally as they arise to create a detachment from them and gain insight and awareness.
