Our Response to Coronavirus/COVID 19

Dear friend of Estuary Center,

The practitioners of Estuary Center hope that you and your loved ones are doing well.  Our community has experienced a lot over the past couple of months which has called for our utmost resiliency. We thank you for the various ways you have helped the larger community stay safe, including choosing to participate in tele-health sessions. We also thank you ahead of time for your patience in working with us as we prepare for a return to in-person sessions.

Now that the stay-at-home order has been lifted, we have set in place certain procedures to ensure the health and well-being of our independent practitioners and all that enter our healing home.  While this is a general message from Estuary Center it may or may not pertain to your specific clinician who may have decided to continue doing tele-health in lieu of in-person. Please check with your specific clinician regarding their personal decision.

The protocols we have adopted are informed by the CDC guidelines, recommendations from the APA, as well as medical professionals who have been consulted to recommend guidelines specifically for the Estuary Center.  While each practitioner of Estuary Center is independent, we assure you that we have made a commitment to each other to all practice the same safety measures while at Estuary Center.

You will notice the following changes when you prepare for your next appointment, all of which are designed to protect you and Estuary clinicians:

  • When you arrive at Estuary Center, please remain in your car and text your clinician to let him/her know that you have arrived. Please remain in your car until your clinician texts you that it is safe for you to enter the building.

  • We require that you wear a face covering when you enter the building and remove it only if you and your clinician have both agreed to go without face covering while in session. When you return to common area space (hallway, bathrooms) we ask that you put your face covering back on.

  • Once you enter the building you will go directly to the clinician’s office instead of sitting in the waiting area. (Exceptions can be made with your clinician if necessary.)

  • When you enter the building we will ask you to complete proper handwashing procedures or use hand sanitizer that will be placed in all common areas, bathrooms and in each office.

  • Please note that we have removed most chairs, all magazines, the tea caddy and other items that may easily retain the virus. If you choose, you can bring an empty water bottle that you can fill at the water cooler.

  • Also note that we will be wiping down all frequently touched surfaces throughout the day with a more thorough cleaning at night.

  • For your safety we have distributed disinfecting spray bottles in each bathroom for you to use as you choose.

  • Towels will continue to be used in bathrooms and sanitized nightly.

Again, we thank you for working with us at Estuary Center during this challenging time. We hope that these guidelines support you to feel safe while at the Center. If you have any specific questions or concerns, please reach out directly to your clinician.
